Much of the work here focuses on isorhythm and modulations thereof through the use of trichordal mosaics organized as array forms. Such isorhythmic modulations appear on the compositional surface at various textural levels throughout each piece (all of which are monophonic); for instance, "semantically vacuous title to signal latent relativist prescription of 'non-conceptual' apprehension of 'given'" aperiodically cycles through permutations of nine fixed-register pitch-classes to exhibit a globally pseudo-heterophonic texture of one voice attempting to unilaterally exhibit multiple temporal streams of itself. "duty re: taleae interpolation schedule (monophony)" exploits its monophonic texture by contrapuntally projecting salient pulse streams (often via repetitions of a single pitch-class) that discretely expand and contract at varying articulational, dynamic, and registral levels. This invites one to observe multiple converging and diverging pulses without the veneer of a many-voiced simultaneity (which question-begs their possessing 'the same time', and thus belonging to some compositional monoculture). Other pieces are more transparent in their behavior. "all-interval…" deploys discrete tempo modulations of relatively asymmetrical sets of eighth-notes, wherein each set is assigned a tempo and partitioned by a single measure that locally decelerates each time. "copied standstills…" directly samples the first movement of "Françoise Variationen" (Donatoni 1983-1996) and subsequently modifies its articulation and dynamic contour to be uniformly monotonous (or, single-valued): staccato and pianissimo, respectively.

None of the pieces herein are composed for a specific instrument or timbral force. They are performed here via 'piano' insofar as, in the local context of MIDI playback and the 'virtual instruments' accessible, the instrument was deemed to most effectively delineate the specified parametric information of each composition. Moreover, each composition may be arranged for a multiplicity of timbral forces.
